Enterprise Assist. The mentor Exeter’s small businesses turn to — with a site to match.

Enterprise Assist — site fold

01 — Context

The brief

Enterprise Assist is Richard Carpenter — a business support, mentoring and networking consultant who has spent decades helping Exeter’s small businesses start, grow and get organised. From a first idea to scaling up, from tough patches to the introductions that open doors, Richard is the person local owners call when they need someone in their corner who has been there before.

A practice built on relationships and reputation needed a website that carried the same weight. The job was a site that feels as personal and assured as Richard himself — confident, warm, and unmistakably local — while making it effortless for a prospective client to understand what he does and get in touch.

The brief: a fast, modern site that looks the part on first impression, reads like Richard rather than a generic consultancy, and turns a quiet visit into a friendly conversation.

02 — Approach

Our approach

We designed and built Enterprise Assist a clean, striking site on a modern Next.js foundation — a bold, minimal aesthetic that opens with one clear promise and lets Richard’s offer do the talking. No clutter, no hard sell, just a calm, confident presence that matches how he works.

The support he offers is laid out plainly — starting out, growing, getting organised, weathering the tough times, mentoring and making the right introductions — so a visitor sees exactly where Richard fits before they ever pick up the phone. The testimonials from local owners sit right alongside, doing the reassuring.

Most recently we rebuilt the contact section into a clean contact-details experience: call, email, address and LinkedIn presented as a single tidy panel, framed by Richard’s open invitation to “grab a coffee”. Alongside it we shipped a round of build, SEO, accessibility and responsive improvements so the site holds up on every device and in front of search.

03 — Outcome

The outcome

Enterprise Assist now has a website that does Richard’s reputation justice — fast, modern and genuinely his. A prospective client lands, understands what he offers within seconds, and finds a friendly, low-pressure way to start a conversation.

The rebuilt contact experience makes reaching out frictionless: every way to get hold of Richard is one clean panel away, framed exactly the way he likes to work — a coffee and a chat, no pushy sales talk.

A polished, professional home for a trusted local mentor — built to load fast, read clearly, and turn first impressions into first conversations.
