Bouldering gym · Sunshine Coast, QLD · 2025

01 — Context
Flow Bouldering is the Sunshine Coast’s premier indoor bouldering gym — a warehouse in Forest Glen packed with climbing problems for everyone from first-timers to project-chasing regulars, plus a café, classes and a community that turns up for each other.
The job was a site that feels like the gym: confident, active, welcoming. Climbers needed memberships, casual visits, classes and opening hours at their fingertips. Newcomers needed reassurance that bouldering is for them, not just the chalk-covered elite.
It also had to carry the practical machinery of a busy venue — a member area, an events calendar, a blog and a gallery — without ever reading like a corporate fitness chain.

02 — Approach
We led with movement and atmosphere — real photography from the gym floor, the walls, the routesetting, the community nights — so the site sells the feeling of being there before it ever sells a membership.
The information architecture is built around what climbers actually come to do: visit, join, book a class, check the hours. Everything a first-time visitor needs sits one tap from the homepage, written in plain, friendly Australian English with no jargon gatekeeping.
On the build we baked in structured local-business SEO from day one — so the gym ranks for the searches climbers type and loads instantly on the phone of someone deciding where to climb this weekend.

03 — Outcome
Flow now has a site that matches the gym’s standing as the region’s premier bouldering destination — fast, vivid, and unmistakably its own brand rather than a template.
Memberships, casual visits and classes all run from one place, and the team can update opening hours, events and blog posts without a developer in the loop.
The site is the front door of the business: it warms up first-time climbers, surfaces the café and community side that keeps people coming back, and holds the local-search ground that drives weekend foot traffic.
