The brief

Kennford Tarmacadam is one of Devon’s most established surfacing and civil engineering contractors, working across commercial, domestic and civil projects since 1960. The reputation was built over decades; the website needed to carry the same weight.

They compete for high-value commercial contracts against modern, fast-loading competitors, while also serving homeowners looking for a driveway. The site had to speak to both audiences at once — councils and developers on one hand, domestic customers on the other — without watering down either.

The brief was a premium, high-performance site that reflects the heritage, puts the accreditations front and centre, and ranks for the local surfacing and civil engineering searches that bring the work in.
